Details
Education Exchanges Support Foundation is opening a 2026 Call for applications for Lithuanian state scholarships for full-time Master’s degree or integrated studies (a maximum of the two last years of the integrated studies) at Lithuanian higher education institutions.
Funding under the 2026 Call will be provided to the citizens of Armenia, Azerbaijan, China (People’s Republic of China and Taiwan), Georgia, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, New Zealand, Philippines, South Korea, Ukraine, The United States of America, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and foreign citizens of Lithuanian origin of non-EU and non-EFTA countries, 70 grants in total (monthly scholarships and grants covering the study cost), ensuring quotas for citizens of the following countries:
Ukraine (20 grants);
Foreign citizens of Lithuanian origin of non-EU and non-EFTA countries (5 grants).
No more than 10 grants are allocated to citizens from countries mentioned above, except for citizens of Ukraine and foreign citizens of Lithuanian origin.

Eligibility requirements
- A candidate must be a citizen of one of the following countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, China (People’s Republic of China and Taiwan), Georgia, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, New Zealand, Philippines, South Korea, Ukraine, The United States of America, Uzbekistan, Vietnam or a foreign citizen of Lithuanian origin of non-EU and non-EFTA countries.
- A candidate must have a good knowledge of Lithuanian, English, or other language in which the study programme will be conducted.
- A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree by the end of the 2025-2026 academic year or be a 4th year student of integrated studies if the studies last 6 years/3rd year student of integrated studies if the studies last 5 years at a Lithuanian higher education institution.
- A candidate must have an official document issued by a Lithuanian higher education institution, as follows:
- If the candidate will begin full-time Master’s degree studies at a Lithuanian higher education institution in 2026, the candidate must have an official letter of acceptance or pre-acceptance;
- In the case of integrated studies or if the candidate is already studying in a full-time Master’s degree programme at a Lithuanian higher education institution, the candidate must have an official confirmation letter certifying that the candidate is studying an integrated study programme or Master’s degree programme and indicating the year of studies. The official confirmation letter must not be older than the spring semester of the current academic year.
- The state scholarship can be granted only once. A candidate who has already received funding under this instrument will not be eligible.
- In the case of an international joint degree programme with a part of the studies (as a mandatory mobility period) being in the candidate’s home country, funding can be granted only to the part of studies held in a Lithuanian higher education institution.
- The state scholarship cannot be granted to a candidate who has already received a Master’s degree in any country.

Cost/funding for participants
A monthly scholarship is set to 8 Basic Social Amounts (BSA)* which is equal to 592 EUR in 2026. The grant covering the study cost is limited to the national standard study cost approved by the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport and may not exceed this amount.
