Meet hundreds of students from all over the world to debate current international affairs, tackle pressing issues of our time and represent your nation’s interests in the international community.

TEAM WORLDMUN

The WorldMUN program is our oldest program at be.boosted. Since 2013 we are training the best applicants in rhetorics, group dynamics, leadership styles and negotiation. After 3 months of extensive training, our fellows can practice what they learned at LIMUN and Harvard WorldMUN.

TEAM LIMUN

Growing as a Verein, we introduced our second program first in 2015 and implemented it on a regular basis since 2018. The LIMUN program mirrors the WorldMUN content wise, but condenses it to a shorter time period and less events.

TEAM WorldMUN TIMELINE

  • CALL 1-5 Welcome - Leadership Intro - Feedback & Speeches - MUN
  • OFFLINE I 15.-17. December in Munich
The first offline will probably take place in the middle of December in Munich. It's a weekend dedicated to practicing speech giving. We will practice skills like voice, rhetorical devices, stage presence and body language. Furthermore, it's of course about finally meeting the team in person and building personal connections. We will try to accomodate you at peers and be.boosted alumni living in Munich.
  • CALL 6-7 MUN - Persuasion
  • JOINT OFFLINE II 5.-7. January in Berlin
Offline 2 will be a joint offline of both teams – LIMUN & WorldMUN, taking place at the beginning of January in Berlin. Our focus will be on acquiring and sharpening negotiation skills. Further, we will have a joint MUN mock-up, where you can test a personal strategy and will receive individual advice and feedback from your trainers and our alumni.
  • CALL 8-11 Branding - Strategy - Group Dynamics - Half Way Reflection
  • OFFLINE III 2.-4. February in Berlin
The third offline will take place at the beginning of February in Berlin. The primary focus of this session will revolve around effectively addressing various group dynamics, exploring networking opportunities, and collaboratively devising a strategy for WorldMUN alongside your fellow double delegate. Participating in this session will not only prepare you for the MUN in Taipei, but also grant you valuable political insights into Taiwan's current political situation.
  • CALL 12-13 Stress Management - LIMUN Prep
  • LIMUN February in London
At the London International MUN you will meet 1000+ students from the UK and other parts of Europe to discuss and find solutions for current hot topics of world politics. A couple of weeks before, you will be assigned to a committee (you can choose beginners or intermediate) and a country that you will represent. You get to prepare a position paper and an opening speech that we will also practice together. Everything afterwards is up to you, so you get to apply and test what you have learned during the programme. Our trainers will accompany you and are there for you to talk strategy, support you and provide feedback! This is the chance to experiment and practice for Harvard WorldMUN. Besides, there will be social events, awards and a big gala dinner that you don’t wanna miss!
  • CALL 14-15 LIMUN Reflection - WorldMUN Prep
  • HARVARD WORLDMUN 10.-13. March in Taipei
Harvard World MUN is a unique experience you won’t forget. Each year in a different city on the globe, 1000+ students come together for five days of extensive MUNing. 1-2 months before you will be assigned to a committee (inspired by the real UN committees) including 1-2 specific topic(s) and the country you will represent in the committee. Together with your double delegate from your be.boosted team, you will prepare the country’s position on the topic and try to persuade the other delegates of your key propositions to include them in the final resolution through effective speech giving, negotiation and showing inclusive leadership. WorldMUN typically takes place in mid-March. The next edition will be in Taipei from the 10th till 13th March 2024.
  • CALL 16 WorldMUN & Programme Reflection - How to stay involved

Cost/funding for participants

COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE PROGRAMME

be.boosted is a student-driven initiative run on a voluntary basis. The program is funded by voluntary contributions, sponsors and fundraising from the fellows as a team effort. The membership contribution for Team WorldMUN is 300€ & for Team LIMUN 200€. This enables your participation in an intense four to five month personal development, training and leadership programme which includes weekly online trainings, two to three offline training weekends and expert sessions. This leads up to the participation of both teams at LIMUN and for the more extensive programme also at WorldMUN in Paris. Within set boundaries we will cover your travel expenses to the offline weekends and to both conferences (about 80€ per offline weekend; higher for travel to WorldMUN). We also cover your conference fees at LIMUN and WorldMUN and your accommodation in London and Tokyo. At offline weekends we aim to accommodate all fellows using our alumni network.
