Zanders - Intern/working student - Blockchain technology

Who we are

Zanders is an international consultancy focusing on Risk, Finance and Treasury. The company has its roots in the Netherlands with regional offices in the UK, Switzerland, Belgium, the US, Japan, South Africa and Germany. We opened our doors in Frankfurt am Main in early 2022 and are now looking to expand the Blockchain team. Germany is a key location for Zanders’ strategic vision.

Our primary business is advising our clients surrounding their financial risk management practices as well as treasury operations. Over time the focus has expanded to include market risk, climate risk and blockchain technology. Typical clients include banks, insurers, asset managers, and multi-national corporates.

In our Blockchain team you are at the forefront of risk management within the blockchain ecosystem where we advise our clients on how the technology impacts their processes and business models, as well as development of Proof of Concepts, and education for executives and their staff. As an intern/working student you will have the opportunity to gain work experience in all these topics.

Your role

You will join our Blockchain team, which works across our three pillars of ‘Financial Institutions’, ‘Corporates’ and ‘Public Sector’ and consists of business analysts, financial experts and developers. This is a unique position within the company as it allows you to work across all segments within Zanders and get exposure to all types of clients. Our clients range from Global Systemically Important Banks to multinational corporates, public institutions as well as start-ups in the Blockchain industry. Blockchain technology, in particular Decentralized Finance and the Metaverse, is a hot topic in all these sectors and we are looking for you to drive the initiative forward.

Your role is to support our senior colleagues on their client-facing project work as well as their business development efforts (e.g. pitches, conferences, university lectures). Furthermore, you will be trusted with answering real world questions from our clients with concrete evidence and data analytics rather than repetitive high-level ideation. We prefer working students to take full ownership of and responsibility for their work, awarding them with a flexible work environment and first experience in the execution of smaller projects.

This team is looking for students who want to work alongside their studies as a working student (20h/week in Germany) or do a full-time internship. The length of the internship is negotiable but should not be shorter than 6 months. Successful interns/working students are likely to receive an offer to join our team full-time after graduation.
