Overview

Have an environmental problem you want to tackle? Bring your planet-positive ideas to life with the beVisioneers Fellowship!

Details

beVisioneers helps bring your planet-positive ideas to life, regardless of your entrepreneurial experience or your financial situation.

beVisioneers is a global fellowship that equips innovators aged 16 to 28 with the training, expert support and resources to bring their planet-positive ideas to life.

At the start of our 3-year fellowship is a 12-month hybrid foundational year that builds Fellows’ entrepreneurial skills through challenge-based learning, resulting in launched projects that tackle an environmental issue. Upon completing the intensive 12-month program, Fellows continue to strengthen local environmental efforts, scale their projects and develop their leadership skills through our long-term community

Funded by donations from Mercedes-Benz and implemented by The DO School Fellowships, beVisioneers provides the program free of charge to all selected Fellows and provides basic living and technology support for those who could not otherwise participate. By fostering local, regional and global exchange among our ever-growing community of Fellows, mentors and experts, we amplify impact today and help build the environmental leaders of tomorrow.

What’s in it for you?

  • Year 1: A 12-month foundational innovation program, where you will gain skills, networks and knowledge to launch a market-tested prototype with access venture coaching, mentoring and project scholarships
  • Years 2 & 3: You will continue to access relevant peer support, venture coaching, programming and connections to support your long-term success as planet-positive innovators.

Core elements of the Fellowship program

A unique & collaborative framework

  • beVisioneers focuses on specific sustainability zones, for example, Food Waste or Clean Water.
  • We match our Fellows’ ideas and projects to these areas, giving them exactly what they need to tackle these challenges over 12 months.
  • Projects will be carried out in close proximity to align with broader efforts around localization. With this approach, we can amplify impact.

Our three learning labs

The program will focus on three different learning labs over 12 months:

  • Personal sustainability, focused on your individual and collective leadership, well-being and resilience.
  • Environmental Sustainability, focused on your knowledge and application of planet-positive concepts and practices.
  • Venture sustainability, focused on your entrepreneurial mindsets and skills to turn ideas into action.

Regional & global summits

  • You will get a chance to meet other Fellows face-to-face at our regional summits.
  • During these summits you will hear from industry experts.
  • There will also be a chance to attend a global summit, which will include pitch competitions and opportunities to access project scholarships to advance your project.
