How can we attract attention without exploiting human suffering? Can Artificial Intelligence be conflict-sensitive? And why isn’t peace more visible across channels and platforms? A conflict-sensitive approach ensures that communication respects diverse perspectives, emotions, and power dynamics – preventing harm and avoiding the escalation of tensions. But how can we harness this potential?
Through theoretical insights, innovative methodologies, and real-world case studies, this course will equip participants with the tools to apply a conflict-sensitive lens to all aspects of their communication work – from stakeholder engagement, ethical storytelling and social media to interpersonal communication, the role of art and the conflict-sensitive dissemination of research outputs.

- Foster critical thinking on the challenges and benefits of conflict-sensitive communication in humanitarian assistance, peacebuilding, and development cooperation.
