Scholarships in Taiwan

The Taiwan Scholarship program is a joint initiative launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), the Ministry of Education (MOE), the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) and the National Science Council (NSC) in 2004
In order to encourage outstanding international students to undertake degree studies in Taiwan to promote understanding and friendship between Taiwan and global community, the Ministry of Education (MOE) in the Republic of China (Taiwan) has established the Taiwan Scholarship Program.
The Scholarship is, in principle,granted to students from countries that have diplomatic relations with Taiwan. However, special considerationmay also be given to students from other countries.

Every year, the TFD will award a select number of International Visiting Fellowships to experienced and distinguished democracy and human rights practitioners.
This program is aim at foreign professors, associate professors, assistant professors (including post-doctoral researchers) and doctoral candidates in departments related to Chinese studies at foreign universities, as well as researchers at related foreign academic institutes.
Students are encouraged to apply for scholarships provided by Taiwan government, such as Taiwan scholarship. Moreover, Asia University provides a limited number of scholarships each year for talented international students.
