GREAT Scholarships offer students from 18 countries the opportunity to have £10,000 towards their tuition fees for a wide range of one-year taught postgraduate courses.

The Women in STEM scholarship programme provides funding for women from eligible countries to complete a one-year master's degree in the UK. Since 2020, the British Council has delivered the programme in partnership with selected UK universities and research institutions and has awarded over 300 scholarships.  Applications for Women in STEM scholarships 2026-27 will open in early 2026.

The Schwab and Westheimer Trust was established to assist young refugees and asylum seekers in accessing education, especially where there are no adequate alternative. Ilse Westheimer was a very successful social worker, and trainer of social workers.

The Jardine Foundation was set up in 1982 to mark the 150th anniversary of the Jardine Matheson Group. The Foundation offers qualified students from Asia full scholarships to study at Oxford and Cambridge Universities.

The Trust meets three times a year to consider grant applications – in February, June and October. The deadline for applications for any particular meeting is the end of the month prior to that meeting – i.e. 31 January, 31 May and 30 September.
