Overview

After a dozen of successful Schools, the Faculty of Economics and Business in Rijeka is organizing the International Summer School - «International Environment and European Integration», which will be held from July 1st to July 12th, 2024.

Details

The goal of the EFRI Summer School is to broaden the knowledge of students of economics, law, political sciences, administration and other related studies on the economic integration process in Europe and its effects on business and other aspects of environment, and to point out the advantages and challenges of economic integration in everyday life. This programme will consist of lectures, workshops and assignments to be completed in groups with the support of academic supervisors. Due to its specific approach, the School will be appealing both to students with basic knowledge of EU matters and those who want to know more. The Summer School is developed in cooperation with the local community, successful Croatian companies, domestic and foreign institutions. Lecturers will be from Croatian and European Universities, as well as other institutions. Participants will be awarded with 6 ECTS credits, after successful completion of the programme. The official language is English.

The Faculty of Economics and Business in Rijeka was among to first to introduce scientifically based contents, courses and research work in Croatia, found-ed on the theory and practice of Economic association and Integration of countries and their respective economies. The Faculty collaborate with eminent foreign universities, both in the field of research and organization of joint conferences, student exchange, summer schools and other. Faculty participated in various international projects, applying for funds within IPA, ESF, FP7, SEE Transnational and lifelong learning programmes, especially within the European LLP Jean Monnet programmes, and are a member of AACSB, EFMD, working hard to get EFMD, EQUIS and AACSB accreditations. Since 1971 we are continuously publishing a scientific journal, abstracted and indexed in WoSCC, EconLit, Scopus and other relevant databases.

Throughout its entire history, the Summer School has educated more than 300 participants from over 30 countries of Europe and the world (Republic of Croatia, Belgium, Russia, France, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Mexico, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, etc.).
