Overview

Education is a key area of focus within our Social Inclusion strategy.

The Jardine Foundation was set up in 1982 to mark the 150th anniversary of the Jardine Matheson Group. The Foundation offers students from across the Group’s markets full scholarships to study at Oxford and Cambridge Universities. The goal is to develop future leaders who will give back to their communities. Scholarships are available for courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Details

The Foundation has strong relationships with a number of colleges at both universities and strong preference is given to applications to these colleges:

University of Cambridge – Downing, Magdalene, Peterhouse, Trinity

University of Oxford – Exeter, Oriel, The Queen’s, Trinity

Since the launch of the Foundation, scholarships have been awarded to over 370 outstanding students from Cambodia, mainland China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

Tenure and Conditions

For first degree courses, the scholarships are for periods of three or four years or such longer period as the Scholarship Committee may decide and are for courses at Oxford University and the Cambridge University in the United Kingdom.

Preference will be given to undergraduate courses in the following Colleges at:

    • The Queen's College
    • Trinity College
  • University of Cambridge:
