Empowering Educators, Elevating Communities

The 21st Education and Development Conference (EDC2026) will be held from March 5–7, 2026, in Bangkok, Thailand, at Radisson Suites Bangkok Sukhumvit. Continuing the long tradition of Tomorrow People Organization’s international education conference series, EDC2026 brings together educators, researchers, graduate students, and policymakers from around the world for three days of dialogue, research exchange, and collaborative learning.

EDC2026 offers an intimate, boutique environment that encourages meaningful conversations over performance, and provides space for participants to explore the role of education in shaping social, economic, and human development.

Why Attend This International Education Conference?

The Education and Development Conference (EDC) stands apart from typical international education conferences. Designed intentionally as a boutique, human-centered academic gathering, EDC creates space for meaningful dialogue, critical reflection, and genuine professional connection. Rather than prioritizing performance, large keynote stages, or concurrent sessions, the conference is structured around participation, shared experiences, and collaborative learning.

For over two decades, EDC has served as a platform where educators and researchers from around the world explore how education shapes human development, global citizenship, and community well-being. The intimate environment encourages deeper conversations, interdisciplinary exchange, and long-lasting professional relationships.

At its core, EDC is built on a simple idea: education is most impactful when people have the time and space to truly listen to one another.

History of the Education and Development Conference Series

The Education and Development Conference has been held annually since 2006, making it one of Asia’s longest-running international education conference series. What began as a small academic gathering has grown into a global platform that brings together participants from dozens of countries each year. Across its many editions, EDC has provided space for exchange on education research, teaching practices, social development, community well-being, and cultural understanding.

Over the years, the conference has been hosted in several locations across Asia, including Bangkok and Bali, each edition building on the spirit of open dialogue and connection that defines the series. The growing archive of past conferences reflects the evolution of global education conversations and highlights the collective contribution of thousands of participants who have shaped the EDC community over the past two decades.
