Awaji Youth Federation (AYF) Fellowship in Japan 2027

This unique program has two aspects of employment to maximise Fellows’ experiences throughout the year, including work as a contract employee of Pasona Group as well as projects on creative and entrepreneurial development on Awaji Island.

Pasona Group associated companies will also provide assistance and offer opportunities to let Fellows demonstrate their ability and potential. The work assigned to Fellows is subject to the proposals of the Fellow themselves, as well as the routine work requested by the corporate entity, and it will also be assigned based upon compliance, rules and regulations.

It is important to understand that this is a work appointment where your role is not only as a Fellow but also as a Pasona employee.

What kind of tasks does the assigned job involve? Are you able to provide a detailed job description?

A clear job description will not be provided as the Awaji Youth Federation is primarily a training program that is guided by the ideas and aspirations of each of the Fellows.

As an AYF Fellow, you will spend the on-the-job training portion of your time assigned to work at one of Pasona Group’s facilities or other relevant facility based on your work experience and skill. Examples of some of the tasks you might undertake include overseas business development based upon regional revitalisation, overseas marketing, Japan inbound tourism plan development, advertisement, publicity, translation, interpreting and information provision services.

• Learning Integrated with Practice Utilizing Awaji Island’s rich local resources, the program combines lectures, fieldwork, and collaborative regional projects to promote both personal growth and business development.

• Diverse International Community Fellows live and work alongside peers from around the world, learning through dialogue and cooperation across cultures. This unique environment cultivates global perspectives and creative thinking.

• Global Alumni Network Upon completion, Fellows join the AYF Alumni network, maintaining lifelong connections and access to continued career and project development opportunities worldwide.

Main Responsibilities

Plan, develop, and implement new business initiatives contributing to Pasona Group and regional revitalization, including partnership coordination and operational management.

Example Projects

• Design and execution of new education and talent development programs (e.g., Global
• Leadership Training, AI & Tech Boot Camps, Mental Wellness Workshops)
• Collaboration projects with domestic and international universities, corporations, and local governments
• Development of experience-based programs and businesses utilizing regional resources (tourism, culture, agriculture, crafts, etc.)
• Co-creation projects leveraging the AYF Fellow & Alumni network
• Public relations, event management, marketing, and reporting for various initiatives
• Scope of work may include other related businesses within Pasona Group.
