BIOWEG is a purpose-driven startup that is developing functional and biodegradable alternatives to eliminate microplastics from our daily lives. Our innovative approach combines upcycling waste streams in a circular fermentation process, powered by Green Chemistry principles to result in highly functional and pure fermented-cellulose ingredients. Role and Responsibilities

Fundraising

  • Assisting in the coordination of fundraising events and meetings, including preparing materials for investor meetings, such as pitch decks. We are currently raising our Series A!
  • Research and analyze industry trends to support decision-making.

Business Development

  • Build a pipeline of qualified leads, managing all steps from sourcing to closing.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and growth after closing.
  • Maintain all relevant sales materials, including a funnel, commercial and technical presentations, demos or scripts.
  • Represent BIOWEG at relevant events and engage with targeted prospects.

Marketing Strategy

  • Drive content creation and communication initiatives across platforms, crafting texts for websites, newsletters, and social media posts on LinkedIn and Twitter.
  • Facilitate website content management, graphics editing, press relations, and event coordination to support organizational goals.

You will be working closely with Naomi, Chief of Staff, and the Business Strategy Team. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Production, and Marketing.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Full business proficiency in English required.
  • Sales experience in biotech or cosmetics preferred.
  • Business proficiency in French is a plus.
  • Master's degree in business from a top-tier university highly appreciated.
  • Team player with the ability to work effectively within a multicultural team.
  • Self-starter, organised and proactive.
  • Positive and resilient, with a hunter mindset
  • Strong conversational skills and active listening
  • Fast learner with the ability to build a deep understanding of complex services.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrating both strategic and creative thinking.
