Job Description
Comgest has a dedicated ESG team comprised of ten personnel, comprising two sub-teams – Responsible Investment (focusing on ESG company research) and Responsible Development (focusing on transversal ESG topics such as strategy, collaborative engagements, communications, reporting and policies). The ESG specialist intern will sit in the Responsible Development team and support the four team members on a diverse range of tasks. General Overview of
Responsibilities
This internship is an opportunity to dive into sustainable finance topics and gain extensive knowledge on the latest ESG regulations, responsible investment strategies as well as specific sustainability themes such as climate change, biodiversity and human rights. The ESG specialist intern will work closely with Comgest’s various teams (investment teams, risk management and compliance teams, investor relations and client services teams, etc.) and focus on the following tasks:
- Assist on client ESG reporting and communications
- Support ESG regulatory implementation and reporting
- Use ESG data, tools, and databases (both internal and external) to produce ESG analytics and reports
- Participate in project managing collaborative engagement campaigns
- Create thematic content on topics such as climate change, biodiversity or human rights

Description of Ideal Candidate
Profile:
- Student in final year of university, business school or engineering school (Master’s degree) or on a gap year
- Prior experience in ESG/sustainable finance is preferrable
- Knowledge of the asset management industry and understanding of Responsible Investment topics is a plus
- Very good knowledge of Excel and, and ideally, ESG databases (MSCI, ISS, etc.)
- Detail-oriented, enjoys data analysis
- A proactive self-starter with a positive attitude. Able to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks
- Good interpersonal skills, strong ability to work in a team
- Enjoys working in an international environment
- Fluent English is essential, both written and spoken
- French and/or other language is a plus
