As an Asset Management Analyst Trainee, you will be at the heart of our IT operations, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our asset and configuration management processes. You will work closely with experienced colleagues, gaining valuable exposure to best practices in asset management and supporting the continuous improvement of our systems.

Key Accountabilities

You will be primarily responsible for:

  • Ensuring effective management of the configuration management database (CMDB) and maintaining accurate content.
  • Managing the inventory of configuration items (CIs) and assets, including dependencies and attributes, ensuring that modifications, withdrawals and additions are correctly recorded to comply with vendor contracts.
  • Establishing and maintaining documentation of procedures, processes and reports related to asset and configuration management.
  • Improving CI data integrity regarding classes, naming conventions, attributes, data sources and relationships.
  • Collaborating with other IT service management (ITSM) processes to understand new requirements and identify how configuration management can support them.
  • Supporting and administering the tool for configuration and asset management, as well as additional applications or modules as assigned.

Description of Ideal Candidate

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

  • Bachelor´s or Master´s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of IT configuration and asset management processes.
  • Basic knowledge of asset discovery tools.
  • Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to provide recommendations for current and future platforms.
  • Familiarity with processes that consume CMDB data, such as incidents, problems, software development lifecycle (SDLC), assets and change management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in maintaining CMDB data integrity.
  • Ability to generate reports for key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent collaboration, customer service and communication skills to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Eligible for an IEFP Level VI Internship.
