FareShare has a network of 18 Regional Centres around the UK, which redistribute food to vulnerable people. Across the country, amazing volunteers work in these depots, carrying out a vital range of activities. Occasionally, new volunteers are needed.

Details

Be a FareShare food hero Volunteers are the lifeblood of FareShare. They carry out the vital activities that make FareShare happen and without them we would not be able to get good food to those who need it most. We think they are true food heroes.

We are always on the look out for people to join our friendly and busy teams across the UK. Volunteering with FareShare is a tangible way to give something back to your community, as well as gain experience and meet new people.

How can I help?

  • Get on the road as a driver: Drive one of our vans to deliver food to charities supporting vulnerable people. We currently have a particular need for drivers so you’ll be making a big difference. Drivers need to be over 25 and hold a full clean UK driving licence.
  • Get stuck in: Sort food at one of our lively Regional Centres. From pears to pasta to plaice, it’s all good food we’ve saved from going to waste.
  • Gain skills: Get first hand experience of the charity sector and food industry while giving back to your community.

Where can I volunteer?

We operate in 20 locations across the UK. Find out if there is a Regional Centre near you by using our postcode search below and get in touch with them to hear more about volunteering there.
