Details
As an Intern, you will collaborate with cross functional teams comprising technical experts within the R&D function, as well as business unit leaders to design, execute, and launch new innovative products together with our customers. You will contribute to the development of new technical solutions based on CO2 technologies in the fields mentioned above. Besides being responsible for doing practical R&D work in the laboratory, you will also perform and/or assist team members in writing reports for clients and partners. Your business potential will also be exercised by coming into contact with the commercial R&D environment. Apart from the practical activities, you will also evaluate the best implementation of the products/processes developed in the sense of creating the business model for such an approach on a potential macro-scale.
Tasks
- Desktop study (literature research) and planning of the experimental activities
- Perform experiments as part of the strategic projects team, learning how to operate pressurized equipment and gaining knowledge in supercritical CO2 technologies.
- Develop protocols and perform analytical test for product characterization.
- Assist with writing reports for grants/commercial contracts
- Presenting research results in project meetings

- A BSc/MSc student (HBO/WO), studying chemical engineering, chemistry, process technology, biotechnology or related discipline
- Perform experiments/data transactions in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain flexibility to respond to ever-changing priorities
- Hands-on, independent, proactive and ‘can-do’ mentality
- Solution and target driven mind set
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (in English)
- Capable to work in a diverse and multidisciplinary team
- Available for a minimum of 4 months
To conduct the activities you will work closely with company’s most experienced project managers and project leaders. You will be integrated in the daily company activities which involved:
- Familiarized with CO2 technologies;
- Acquire and develop formulation knowledge
- Operating high pressure equipment;
- Utilizing the analytical tools (GS, HPLC, UV-Vis, Microscopy, Water activity measurements, etc.
- Product development & characterization including the shelf-lifetime stabilities, and product performances; benchmarking analysis, etc.
