Overview

U.S. Embassy Beirut is now accepting applications for the 2025-2026 Fulbright Foreign Student Program, which covers a maximum of two years of graduate-level study at a university in the United States starting in August 2025.  The program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State in honor of former U.S. Senator J. William Fulbright and demonstrates the United States’ commitment to welcoming outstanding international students to pursue graduate study at U.S. institutions.

Details

The grant includes roundtrip airfare between Lebanon and the United States, university tuition, books, health insurance, and lodging.  Expenses of Fulbright students’ dependents (spouses, children, parents, etc.) are not covered.

Preference will be given to applicants who have not previously studied in the United States. Fulbright students must return to Lebanon for at least two years upon completion of the program and will not be eligible for U.S. employment, immigration or residency visas during that time period. Fulbright students are immediately eligible to apply for student, tourist, and business visas to the U.S. after completing the Fulbright program.

Submission deadline for all application materials is Tuesday, May 2, 2024 (11:59 p.m. Beirut Time) including the online application and the supporting documents to AMIDEAST.

Short-listed candidates will be invited for an interview in June 2024.
