We work to halt destructive river development projects and to encourage more equitable and sustainable methods of meeting needs for water, energy and flood management. International Rivers' Intern and Volunteer Program is named in honor of Glenn Switkes who devoted his 15 years with International Rivers to working with communities in South America to protect their rivers.
