Work alongside an international team of experts in a dynamic, fast-moving environment — where your insights matter, and your impact is real.
Start your journey with HEINEKEN — the best place to learn, grow, and shape the future of global business.
The internship
As an intern in the Risk Response team, part of Global Process & Control Improvement (P&CI) within the Finance organization, you’ll join a multinational group of experts that supports every function and operating company across the globe. Our team has one of the widest lenses on risk in the organization — helping ensure HEINEKEN responds to challenges with clarity, confidence, and control.
You won’t just support — you’ll contribute. From analysing real-world risks to drawing insights and helping shape impactful solutions, you’ll be part of the conversations that matter. Your ideas, curiosity, and fresh perspective will be welcomed as we continuously improve how we manage risk worldwide.
We’re here to make sure you leave this internship not just with experience, but with skills, confidence, and a real sense of what it means to drive change in a global business.
Internship Highlights
Within the Risk Response team, each member leads one or more core risk domains — including Demand to Warehouse (i.e. production, logistics, inventory), Sustainability & Responsibility (i.e. CSRD, management reporting), Market to Cash (order fulfilment, customer execution, pricing, eCommerce), Source to Pay (i.e. category strategy, purchasing, invoicing, suppliers), Fraud Risk Management, and Financial Accounting (i.e. Record to Report, Tax, Treasury).
This is your opportunity to gain deep insight into how a global organization anticipates and manages risk across its end-to-end operations. As an intern, you’ll gain real-world exposure to how a global business identifies and responds to risk across every stage of the value chain — and you’ll play an active role in making that happen.
What You'll Be Working On
You’ll play an active role in strengthening HEINEKENS’s risk resilience — contributing across the key domains mentioned above and through the following high-impact focus areas:
- Strategic Risk Engagement: Support risk management initiatives through workshops, control mapping, and assessments across operational and financial processes — contributing to how HEINEKEN anticipates, manages, and responds to its most critical risks.
- Data Analysis & Sustainability Reporting: Conduct deep-dive analysis on financial and sustainability datasets to surface insights that drive smarter decisions and support compliance with global transparency standards, especially within the S&R (Sustainability & Responsibility) domain.
- eCommerce & Business Continuity: Collaborate with eCommerce platform owners and architects to identify risks and support the rollout of a risk assessment module in ServiceNow — helping ensure resilience and continuity of core business.
- Process Improvement: Analyse current workflows, identify inefficiencies, and contribute to process optimization initiatives by working closely with global stakeholders.
- Communication & Visibility: Contribute to designing and delivering a refreshed communication strategy for P&CI, aimed at increasing awareness and engagement across Finance, Sustainability, and business functions worldwide.
- Knowledge Management: Help maintain and enhance key materials and content in SharePoint and Power BI, ensuring resources are accessible, relevant, and up-to-date.
- Team Coordination & Operational Support: Support the team’s efficiency through light-touch coordination activities such as management of global mailbox, summarizing important project outcomes, and data consolidation — helping keep our fast-paced environment running smoothly.
Who You'll Work With
You’ll be embedded in the Global P&CI team, a diverse and dynamic group of 45 professionals located across Amsterdam, Poland, Nigeria, Singapore, and Mexico. You’ll also collaborate closely with key sub-teams across Global Accounting and Risk Management, including specialists in Control Monitoring, Risk Management, Process Excellence, and Financial & Sustainability Reporting.
Joining the Risk Response team offers a unique chance to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that values precision, critical thinking, and continuous improvement. You’ll collaborate with experts across functions and geographies, gaining real-world experience on projects that matter. With strong emphasis on learning by doing, you’ll sharpen your analytical, communication, and presentation skills — while expanding your professional network as part of an international team of interns. It’s an ideal opportunity for curious, proactive individuals who thrive on variety, responsibility, and global collaboration.
