Details
This will be a valuable opportunity to gain experience in policy advocacy, development projects coordination, and project life cycles. You will also work with local and international partners, contribute to donor reporting, and learn how to compile financial data and monitor project budgets, all within a multicultural environment of a non-governmental international organisation.

Support the day-today organisational and project related tasks
-
Assist in the implementation of activities including reports (financial and narrative) of projects, meetings and coordination

Track, analyse and summarise policy developments that support the scaling up of agroecology and organic agriculture across different countries

Assist in the preparation of concept notes and project proposal for project acquisitions and fundraising
Organic Guarantee Systems (OGS) (30%)

Support the Organic Policy & Guarantee team in the implementation of project related to Organic Guarantee Systems (OGS), including project administration and financial reporting

Assist in the administration and promotion of the IFOAM OGS services, in particular the IFOAM Family of Standards
Operations & Cross-Departmental Support (20%)

Assist the Office Coordinator in regular administrative tasks, for example: during periods of absence with operational tasks and provide support over the course of the six-month internship.

Gain hands-on familiarity with Salesforce and relevant operational workflows
Additional Value-Add Responsibilities (if needed):

Contribute to drafting social media or newsletter content on policy and guarantee topics

Provide support to emerging cross-cutting initiatives (e.g., regenerative organic approaches, agroecology coalitions).

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Currently enrolled as a student in the field of agricultural sciences (agronomy, forestry, fisheries, livestock husbandry, zootechnics, environment engineer or food science) and related disciplines (agricultural economics, rural sociology, etc.).

Interest and previous experience in sustainable/organic agriculture, sustainable food systems or related subjects is essential.

Previous experience in other NGOs, international organisations, UN Agencies, or GIZ is desirable.

Communicative, cooperative personality and enjoy working in a team

Very good knowledge of English is a prerequisite; German is a plus.

Excellent MS Office skills (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
