Overview

The International Forum We, the Youth (IFWY) represents a bold and new model of youth engagement for social change. IFWY reimagines both the process—with a participatory and bottom-up approach to selecting youth representatives—and the format, blending policy dialogue with powerful cultural expressions to create a dynamic and inclusive space. More than a platform for dialogue, IFWY is a rallying call to action—an annual gathering that mobilizes resources, knowledge, and collective energy to drive meaningful transformation. With a strong emphasis on reshaping mindsets, behaviors, and systems, the Forum tackles urgent global challenges across themes such as peace, equality, environmental sustainability, solidarity, technology, democracy, and inclusive development.

What is the International Forum: We, the Youth (IFWY)?

The challenges we face today—rising inequality, the climate crisis, conflict, and systemic exclusion—affect us all and call for urgent, collective action.

Youth carry a unique responsibility—not only as future leaders, but as today’s agents of change, already making a difference and driving real solutions. The International Forum We, the Youth (IFWY) is a global initiative co-organized by Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) and the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD)—created just for you.

IFWY is your space—to speak up, connect and shape real change through open, inclusive, and solution-oriented dialogue—empowering youth to co-create pathways toward a more just, peaceful, and sustainable world.

2025 Theme“Our Sustainable Future: Peace and Cooperation

Join us in co-creating a sustainable future driven by youth unity and collaboration.

Overview

In 2025, the world stands at a crossroads—facing climate disruption, conflict, inequality, and rising polarization. In response to this urgent global context, “Our Sustainable Future: Peace and Cooperation” has been chosen as the central theme of IFWY 2025 to highlight the critical need for unity, dialogue, and collective action.

From climate chaos to growing social divides, we’re confronting complex challenges that no one can solve alone. That’s why peace and cooperation are more than just ideals—they are the foundation for global solidarity, justice, and sustainable progress. They empower communities and nations to resolve conflicts, confront shared problems, and shape long-term solutions together.

This theme invites youth from all corners of the world to imagine and co-create a future where sustainability is a shared responsibility and solidarity drives real change. By coming together across cultures, regions, and sectors, young people can lead the way in building a more peaceful, inclusive, and resilient world.
