Overview
Established in 1953, UNA-NCA is one of the oldest and largest divisions of the United Nations Association of the USA (UNA-USA). In 2010, the UN Foundation and UNA-USA announced that they formed a strategic alliance to strengthen the US-UN relationship. With the help of over 5,000 members, volunteers, and supporters in the greater Washington area, UNA-NCA works to build public knowledge, strengthen UN-US relations, and aid the UN in achieving its goals.

UNA-NCA offers year-round unpaid internships to current students (undergraduates and graduates) and recent graduates. Both general program assistant positions and those specific to our Global Classrooms DC are available.
Positions:
UNA-NCA Program Assistant
Program assistants will gain experience working in a small, non-profit environment and exposure to a variety of communications, membership, events, development, and general administrative tasks. This position is ideal for those interested in non-profit management and will provide hands-on experience as an integral member of the team.
Global Classrooms Program Assistant
Program assistants will gain experience working in a small, non-profit environment and exposure to a variety of communications, membership, events, development, and general administrative tasks. This position is ideal for those interested in non-profit management, program development, and will provide hands-on experience as an integral member of the team.
Global Classrooms Curriculum Development Assistant
Curriculum development assistants will gain experience working in a small, non-profit environment and exposure to a variety of tasks related to education and Global Classrooms. This position is ideal for those interested in education, Model United Nations, professional development training, and will provide hands-on experience as an integral member of the team.
Global Classrooms Youth Team Intern
Youth Team Interns is the GCDC internship program for high school students. Youth Team Interns will gain experience and develop skills necessary for working in a professional environment, refine research and writing skills, and receive exposure to a variety of communications, membership, events, development, and general administrative tasks. This position is ideal for those passionate about international conflicts and/or education and driven, hardworking students who are looking to develop life skills outside of the classroom.
Assistant to the Executive Director
This position is ideal for someone who wants to gain experience in fundraising, grantwriting, non-profit management, and working directly with a board.
