THE PROJECT
Project Brief for BA/MA Product Design
This year’s theme challenges applicants to explore how product design can respond to future needs through a synthesis of traditional craftsmanship and emerging technologies. Participants are invited to investigate the creative tension between heritage and innovation, reimagining an everyday artefact.
Applicants should reflect on:
- Redefining relationships between people and personal, domestic, or collective objects
- Combining traditional materials and craftsmanship with experimental and technological processes
- Designing products that support future lifestyles, sustainability, and the evolution of craft traditions
Project Brief for BA/MA Interior Design
Design a spatial concept for a temporary interior installation in London that communicates a narrative, whether cultural, social, historical, or personal.
This could take the form of:
- A gallery or museum interior
- A cultural or social installation
- A concept retail or hospitality environment
- An immersive, narrative-driven space
Applicants are encouraged to consider user journey, materiality, sensory experience, sustainability, and spatial atmosphere in response to their concept.
