Overview

At CTY you will work with an exceptional group of students, make contacts and friendships with dynamic colleagues, and gain valuable experience in a rigorous academic community. CTY has consistently been named as one of the top internships in leading publications. We have a network of past employees now working in positions ranging from heads of school to deans of students to university professors.

Details

A variety of exciting positions with CTY Summer Programs are available at both residential and day sites. At residential sites, students and staff live on campus throughout the session, interacting in a variety of settings both inside and outside of the classroom. For staff working at residential sites, room and board is provided in addition to salary. At day sites, students and staff return home and the end of each program day. Room and board is not provided or available for staff working at day sites.

Is there a cutoff date for applying?

There is no cutoff date. We continue hiring on an as-needed basis through the beginning of the programs. The earlier that we receive your application, the more likely it will be that there is an available position that matches your interest and experience.

Description of Ideal Candidate

In most cases we are able to hire qualified international applicants who are in the United States on an F-1 visa. We hire qualified applicants who require a J-1 visa for select positions.

Cost/funding for participants

The starting salary for instructors ranges from $2,400-$3,000 per 3-week session, depending on education and experience. Teaching assistants earn $1,200 per 3-week session, and residential assistants earn $1,400 per 3-week session. Salaries for administrators vary by position. Room and board are provided at residential sites.
