The internships at MING Labs are paid and 6 months in duration in which time you'll have the opportunity to learn from more experienced designers and enhance your UI design skills.

MING Labs is looking for creative and self-motivated interns to join our international Design team in our Shanghai studio. As our new UI design intern you'll be treated as full-time employees and you'll work together with our multidisciplinary teams in different projects. Unfortunately, for this internship position we are not able to sponsor a working visa.

What you will be doing

  • Assist in the creation and refinement of UI elements for various digital products.
  • Work closely with the design team to ensure visual consistency and adherence to design best practices.
  • Participate in the development of user interfaces, focusing on usability and aesthetic appeal
  • Contribute to the production of high-fidelity mockups and prototypes.
  • Producing vector graphic assets such as icons and illustrations.
  • Collaborate with our front-end development team to ensure accurate translation of designs into functional user interfaces.
  • Producing reusable and scalable components for design systems.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in UI design.

Description of Ideal Candidate

What we are looking for

  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a program in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field.
  • Have a strong portfolio with recent works that demonstrates good visual design skills
  • Strong visual design skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in design or collaboration tools such as Figma, Sketch, Miro, and Keynote.
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, Javascript is a plus.
  • You are proficient in English. Chinese is a plus.
  • Familiarity with motion design and its application in UI is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present design ideas clearly.
  • A proactive learner, open to feedback and personal growth.
