About Us

Opera’s Gothenburg office works on a number of our biggest products including Opera GX, Opera Neon and GameMaker to bring cutting edge agentic browsers, immersive games, entertainment, and gaming news to our users. Our AI & Gaming organization includes teams across front-end, backend, R&D, QA, and product and design, all working together to create innovative, user-centered experiences for our millions of users.

Your Role This Summer

Work in one of our AI & Gaming teams — front-end (TypeScript), backend (Java), R&D (Rust / TypeScript / C++), DevOps (AWS), QA, or product & design.
Contribute directly to Opera GX, Neon, or GameMaker.
Collaborate cross-discipline to prototype, test, and ship new features.

Description of Ideal Candidate

Requirements:

Enrolled in a computer science, product design, or related program at Chalmers University or the University of Gothenburg. Work is 100% on-site at our office.
Strong interest in programming, technology, gaming, mobile development, or design.
