At RSM, interns work with large and small companies in various industries. They develop strong working relationships with clients built on understanding their businesses and challenges. Interns work on multiple team engagements each year, including several pieces of any particular assignment— not just one part. Working in a mutually respectful team environment helps our associates perform at their best and integrate their career with their personal life.
Program features

By working directly with key decision makers—both inside and outside the firm—you’ll move quickly along the learning curve to jump-start your career in accounting or consulting.
- Orientation and training – You will be prepared for your client service role through a combination of formal and informal training.
- Hands-on experience – You will have the opportunity to see a variety of clients and work directly with key decision makers and company owners.
- Events – From lunch-and-learn workshops to sporting events or community service projects, interns will gather with their peers and co-workers to develop both personally and professionally.
- Mentorship and performance management – Interns are paired with both a navigator and a career advisor to help them transition into the role. The navigator is a great peer resource for all the new-hire questions during assimilation to our office. The career advisor will be there to ensure your experience is meeting your goals and that you’re working towards that job offer.

- Be approximately two to two-and-a-half years away from completing a bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in accounting or a consulting-related field
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Team player motivated to work in a fast-paced environment
- Show a desire to be client-service focused
- Possess good communication and computer skills
