Overview
Visual Artist Residency in New York provides artists with the chance to be inspired in a variety of spectacular artistic settings of Brooklyn. Every year, four artists get the incredible opportunity to engage with peers and focus on process and experimentation. The program gives artists complete freedom during their residency, but also provides resources and weekly lectures for guidance and feedback.

About
The residency program at International Studio & Curatorial Program in New York, USA creates an environment for inspiration, dialogue, and experimentation. It allows four artists (one from each Visegrad country) to experience life and work in a unique community where creativity is applied to the everyday and offers conditions that enrich the creativity.
ISCP was founded in 1994 with the mission to support and enhance the professional development of emerging to mid-career artists and curators from around the world, introduce New York audiences to exceptional international art practices and engage the communities of Brooklyn and the New York City area through public programs that enrich the appreciation and understanding of contemporary art.
The program is suited to visual artists, artists with interdisciplinary practices.
How to apply?
The application form must be submitted via My Visegrad by October 15 at 12.00 PM (noon). The online application system opens on September 15.
Your application must include the following enclosures:
- Copy of your ID or passport
- Your CV and motivation letter (including your project plan)
- Artistic portfolio (file or link to artist´s website)
Applicants are selected on the basis of their previous work, their potential contribution to the residency stay in New York, as well as the potential benefit they can draw from the program. Only one artist per V4 country is supported annually.

Cost/funding for participants
- Residency: Lasting 2 months from July 1 until August 31
- Funding: for each artist €7,000 to cover accommodation, travel, subsistence, and necessary materials.
