Purpose

  • The IAM Specialist Intern will support the Identity & Access Management (IAM) team in managing digital identities, access controls, and governance processes across enterprise applications. The internship provides hands-on experience with identity governance platforms, access provisioning, access certifications, privileged access management, and compliance-driven security controls.
  • The intern will work closely with IAM specialists, application owners, cybersecurity teams, and IT operations teams to help improve access management processes and enhance the organization's security posture.

Responsibilities

  • Identity Governance & Administration
    • Assist with user provisioning and deprovisioning activities.
    • Support Joiner, Mover, and Leaver (JML) processes.
    • Help monitor and manage access requests and approval workflows, and maintain access records. 
  • Access Reviews & Compliance
    • Follow up with managers and application owners on access review completion.
    • Assist in identifying excessive, inactive, or orphaned accounts, and support audit evidence collection. 
  • IAM Platform Support
    • Assist with administration of IAM solutions such as SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC).
    • Help validate data, onboard applications into IAM platform and participate in testing activities. 
  • Privileged Access Governance
    • Support monitoring of account expiration dates, ownership assignments and track of privileged and administrative accounts.
    • Help maintain compliance with privileged access management policies. 
  • Reporting & Analytics
    • Create and maintain IAM operational dashboards and reports, as well as analyze metrics and KPIs. 
  • Documentation & Process Improvement
    • Maintain process documentation, work instructions, and knowledge articles.
    • Participate in IAM improvement projects and workshops, supporting the identification of opportunities for automation and process optimization.
