Details
- Drive your very own eight-week business project: We work with our Operating Companies to handpick projects that are intellectually stimulating and offer substantial learning opportunities and experience. During your eight weeks, you will be given the responsibility and autonomy to plan, drive, execute and conclude your project. You are encouraged to develop new skills and experiment with new ways of working.
- Project assignment: Hong Kong citizens will be assigned to projects within Hong Kong SAR. Similarly, Chinese Mainland citizens will be placed on projects within the Chinese Mainland, regardless of their place of study or work rights in Hong Kong. All other applicants will be confirmed at a later stage.
- Your development: To ensure you have support throughout this experience, you will be paired with a Swire Management Programme buddy. Your Line Manager will also actively support your development and the success of your project.
- Pitch a business idea: To wrap up your eight-week internship, alongside a group of your fellow interns, you’ll have the opportunity to pitch a business idea to senior management. You can showcase what you learned from the internship experience and demonstrate your entrepreneurial spirit. We want to hear your ideas!

Eligibility criteria
- We welcome applications from undergraduates or postgraduates of any discipline worldwide. Eligible candidates must be in their penultimate year of study at the time of the internship and are required to graduate by July in the year following the internship programme.
- You have a keen interest in working in Hong Kong SAR or the Chinese Mainland.
- You have strong business and commercial acumen, as well as the ambition, to join the Swire Management Programme.
- Strong initiative and enterprise.
- Strong intellectual curiosity and learning agility.
- Strong leadership potential and interpersonal skills, and a good team player.
- Culturally sensitive and quickly adaptable to new roles and situations.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Other language skills are an advantage, especially Chinese (Putonghua or Cantonese).
- Internship and overseas experiences are a plus.

Cost/funding for participants
We welcome applications from students globally, regardless of nationality. The company will sponsor necessary visas and cover travel and accommodation expenses for interns assigned to work outside their hometown. More details will be provided at a later stage.
