Role and Responsibilities

As an intern, you will support the Investment Legal Team in London. Duties include:

  • Supporting investment teams to structure investments and ensure that the contemplated terms reflect market accepted standards for the relevant asset class;
  • Assisting investment teams with reviewing, negotiating and executing the investment transaction documents to effect and paper transactions; 
  • Focus on reviewing and drafting junior transaction documents (e.g., NDAs, reliance, release and engagement letters and letters of intent);
  • Liaise with Funds Legal, Corporate Legal, Tax, Compliance, Finance and Treasury to ensure that all applicable regulations and internal procedures are properly implemented by the investment teams;
  • Handle ad hoc legal issues relating to our investment teams and act as a point of contact for legal queries from the wider London office;
  • Maintaining and updating the precedent legal database for the investment teams; and
  • Helping the coordination with supervisory authorities, public authorities, external legal advisors and service providers (notaries and custodians, etc.).

  • Holds a law degree (or equivalent) or GDL and/or LPC qualification
  • Good expertise of Microsoft Office
  • Fluent in English – additional languages would be a real bonus given our presence across Europe, Asia and North America
  • Flexible, proactive, enthusiastic and possesses strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Motivated, results-oriented, a team player and wishes to thrive and learn in an entrepreneurial and dynamic company
