We are the European business association of the Flexible Demand Management Industry, representing over 100 companies offering innovative solutions to transform energy consumers from passive to active players and contribute to the cost-effective decarbonisation by unleashing their demand-side flexibility.
A few years ago, we started our involvement in EU funded projects and the growing importance of this workstream requires an expanded professional support. You will be part of a dynamic, professional, international team in the EU area in Brussels. You will report to the Senior EU Projects Officer and will work in strong cooperation with our broad membership of engaged companies.
Main responsibilities:
- Support the Senior EU Projects Officer with daily EU projects coordination and administrative tasks, including participation and representation of smartEn in General Assembly meetings and conference calls. Some of them will require to travel across the EU;
- Aid in monitoring EU project timelines by updating relevant Gantt charts, highlighting any deviations or issues to the Senior EU Projects Officer;
- Support and coordinate both internal and external communications and events for EU projects.

Desired skills and experience:
- A university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in European studies, project management, law, energy economics, engineering, or similar;
- At least 1 year of relevant professional experience in EU funded projects,
- Knowledge in project management or EU funds is considered an advantage;
- Analytical, attentive to details, curious, pragmatic, and flexible attitude;
- Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads;
- Able to liaise internally and externally with a varied range of stakeholders;
- Fluency in written and spoken English required, other European languages are an asset;
- High motivation in playing an active part in the clean and digital transition;
- EU citizenship/working permit is necessary.
