The DWS Internship offers a unique and exciting opportunity to gain a wide range of practical experiences through individual projects, speaker sessions and networking events. With strong support from mentors and managers, you will be challenged to grow while gaining valuable insights into the world of Asset Management. This is an excellent way to determine whether a career in Financial Services & Asset Management meets your personal aspirations.
Subject to performance, successful interns may be offered a place on the DWS Graduate P.A.C.E. Program the following year.
About the Team
Join our dynamic Trading Team at DWS that plays an integral part of investment process by leveraging market knowledge together with data science and analytics to improve performance and influence execution outcomes.
You will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that help evolve our trading protocols and ensure efficient implementation of investment decisions.
As an intern, you'll collaborate closely with Trading experts in our FICC team, while also engaging with all internal stakeholders and wider Trading community that will be providing you with invaluable insights and hands-on experience in the trading landscape.
As our DWS Intern, you will:

Support the execution of trades and trading strategies across the whole range of products ensuring to deliver best execution to our clients

Systematically support the implementation of the optimal execution strategy across execution channels and liquidity pools based on the instrument type and risk involved

Support analyzing pre-and post-trade data

Collaborate with all stakeholders of the Trading-team, support and control functions

The Team is looking for:

Advanced English language skills, German skills are beneficial but not required

Experience in using programming languages (ideally Python or R)

Affinity for statistical computer languages to analyze and clean, draw insights from large data sets and visualize these

Strong communications, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

Ability to work under pressure and resilience in a fast-paced and high-performance environment
