Back in 2010, 500 Global (formerly 500 Startups) pioneered an accelerator program and shaped how venture capital fostered early-stage startups. Today, 500 Global continues to invest in founders, offering $150,000 in investment, founder-focused programming, growth and development curriculum, and tailored support. Our four-month in-person program is hosted in Silicon Valley, dedicated to scaling startups to new heights.

What do founders get from the program?
- Investment: Fuel your vision and lay the foundation for success with an investment that offers the crucial capital needed to build, launch, and quickly grow your startup. Companies accepted into our Flagship Accelerator are offered a $150,000 investment for a 6% stake, subject to terms and diligence.
- Community: Build and work with other founders navigating their startup journey, facing similar challenges, and growing together. The 500 founder community consists of 5,000+ founders hailing from diverse backgrounds, areas of expertise, and locations.
- Mentorship & hands-on support: We bring together industry experts to help founders reach milestones faster and accelerate their problem-solving processes. Along with the 500 Global team of experienced operator-investors, alumni founder coaches, entrepreneurs in residence, mentors, and guest speakers provide expert guidance and real-world insights. Speakers include top domain experts on important topics such as distribution, design, data, fundraising, and more.
- Curriculum: Our curriculum emphasizes growth hacks and design best practices, guided by best-in-class operators. Key areas of focus include customer discovery, product-market fit, go-to-market strategies, pitch development, fundraising, and partnerships tailored for the modern founder and startup.

Cost/funding for participants
We invest in all companies that take part in the Seed Program. The investment is structured as a convertible security. Companies receive an investment of $150,000 for around 6% of their company (subject to dilution at the time of conversion of our convertible security).
The convertible security has certain special rights for 500 Startups, including the right to make a follow-on investment of an additional $500,000 or 20% of your next priced round of $1,000,000 or more, whichever is lower, which expires after the conversion of our convertible security.
