Overview
The Master’s & Internship Program (MIP) was established in 2016 by the Albanian – American Development Foundation (AADF), to provide an opportunity to the most talented and ambitious young to mid-career professionals and Albanian future leaders to enhance their management and technical capacity, hone their professional skills, improve their individual career prospects and therefore contribute to the development of Albania upon their return.

AADF has created, designed and owns the AADF MIP Professional Fellowship Program, a fellowship who provides an opportunity for the most talented young professionals and Albanian future leaders to enhance their management and technical capacity, improve their individual career prospects and therefore contribute to the development of Albania. AADF aims to achieve this through a short term international day-to-day professional experience in the fields of Education, Technology & Innovation, Business & Entrepreneurship, Tourism & Ecotourism, Culture, Law and Health Education.

Complete the application form
There are seven sections to the application form, and you will need to complete all sections before you can submit your application. Once you have completed the application, you will be asked to electronically sign a declaration in order to submit it. You can save your application at any time, and log in to complete it later.

Section 5 – Internship Placement
AADF Internship placements will consist of professional training related to the Applicant’s field of study and career path. AADF cannot guarantee placements according to specific dates, or in preferred organizations or geographical locations. However, individual preferences will be taken into consideration whenever possible.

Description of Ideal Candidate
To participate in the Professional Internship Program, potential candidates should comply with the following eligibility criteria:
- Hold an Albanian passport and be permanent resident in Albania.
- Have minimum three to five years of full time professional experience and proven track record of professional excellence and achievement in any of the following fields: Education, Technology & Innovation, Business & Entrepreneurship, Tourism & Ecotourism, Culture, Law and Health Education.
- Ability to identify and analyze any gaps in the field of expertise and how will this internship benefit to the development of both the applicant and relevant field.
- Have oral and written English language proficiency sufficient to excel in a professional setting. Application, selection process and interview are organized in English.
- Ability to self-fund a portion of their living expenses up to 10% of total cost of participation.
- Have a strong character with integrity, drive, and the ability to self-manage and work independently.
- Agree to return and reside to Albania for a minimum of two years to make a significant contribution to the relevant field.
- Willing to continue close collaboration with alumni group and AADF upon return.
* This program is not eligible for candidates who do not have 3 years of full time working experience after finalizing their studies.

Cost/funding for participants
AADF provides 90% of funds for all aspects of applicants and Fellows’ participation in the program. The fellowship covers the following costs:
- 6 months custom-designed and mentored career training at a U.S. host organization
- Executive Education program
- Round-trip airfare (Albania-U.S. host organization location)
- Health and travel insurance coverage
- Support with U.S. visa application
- Pre-departure orientation
- Monthly stipend to cover accommodation, local transportation, and personal expenses
