Details

A GSK internship offers you the opportunity to kickstart your career – to take on a real role with genuine impact! You’ll take on challenging, serious work on live projects or assignments.  You’ll also get to learn from us, develop your skills and gain valuable experience for wherever the future takes you.

What Will You Do?

  • Understand how things work today: Look at how requests are received (emails, Teams, etc.), who is involved, and where the main issues are. Document the current process (As‑Is).

  • Design a better process: Help define a clearer, simpler way to manage requests (To‑Be), with clear roles, priorities, and categories.

  • Work on automation and digital tools: Support the creation of simple automated workflows and forms to track requests in one place and reduce manual effort.

  • Define timelines and rules: Help set response times (SLAs) and basic guidelines so everyone knows how to submit requests properly.

  • Test and improve: Build a first version of the solution, test it with users, collect feedback, and improve it step by step.

  • Measure results: Track key metrics (number of requests, response time, delays) and show results in a simple dashboard.

  • Document and hand over: Create clear documentation so the team can continue using and improving the process after your internship.

What Will You Learn?

  • How vaccines are made

  • How supply chain planning works

  • How master data works in a Supply Chain context

  • SAP fundamentals in our environment: how master data underpins the planning and execution layers (you’ll learn where and how MD is used in SAP and how upstream request quality impacts downstream transactions).

  • Request management patterns: ServiceNow Service Catalog, form design, workflow/routing, and Virtual Agent in Microsoft Teams; when to favour Power Platform (Power Apps/Automate) for light workflows.

  • Data modelling & reporting: structuring intake data for Power BI dashboards; defining KPIs.
