Your Tasks

You complete our 18-month Mathematics Graduate Trainee Programme Property & Casualty Reinsurance and gain insights tailored to your strengths and interests through various work shadowing stays of several months' duration, primarily in our Group Risk Mana­gement department but also in Advanced Solutions, Insurance-Linked Securities and Group Quota­tion Service. Specialist training periods spent in operational functions give you in-depth insights into our wide range of products and processes, while strategic/conceptual functions enable you to grasp the entire spectrum of property and casualty reinsurance in all its diversity.Insights into risk ­management, the pricing of insurance products and the elaboration of innovative reinsurance solutions

  • Involvement in day-to-day business in the specialist units
  • Assisting with mostly IT-related projects and with the ongoing digital development of our work environment
  • Several months spent abroad at at least one of our interna­tional locations
  • Participation in special trainee events and cultivation of a Group-wide network

Description of Ideal Candidate

Your Profile

  • Master's degree in (business) mathematics with concentrations in stochastics, financial mathematics and/or insurance mathematics
  • Internships, ideally in the financial sector, or training as a certified insurance practitioner or banking professional
  • International experience, e.g. through periods of study abroad
  • Highly IT-minded
  • Proficient user skills in German and English (at least level C1) as well as conversational user skills in another language (at least level B1)
