Overview
The ACM International Conference on Mobile Human-Computer Interaction (MobileHCI) brings together people from diverse areas and provides a multidisciplinary forum for academics, hardware and software developers, designers, and practitioners to discuss the challenges and potential solutions for effective interaction with and through mobile devices, applications, and services. The conference welcomes contributions that promote the exchange of ideas and rational discourse between academics, researchers, and industries all over the world.

Theme
This year’s conference theme is “Connecting Realities”.
Cyprus is connecting three different continents, Europe, Asia, and Africa and with this year’s theme, we want to invite researchers to explore how mobile technologies bridge, blur, or harmonize diverse forms of existence and experience across multiple dimensions. Beyond the traditional dichotomy of virtual and physical realms, this theme expands to encompass the richness of human realities such as cultural contexts, lived experiences, social norms, and personal narratives that shape and are shaped by mobile interactions.
It challenges researchers and practitioners to examine how mobile HCI can enable seamless integration between digital and analog worlds, while respecting the nuances of identity, accessibility, and local practices that result from mobile interactions.

Cost/funding for participants
MobileHCI 2027 is an in-person conference, and as such, our registration fees reflect running an in-person event. However, we recognize that it may not be possible for everyone who wishes to attend to do so in-person, thus we also offer a virtual/online attendance-only option.
Authors with papers accepted must register no later than the early registration deadline (date TBC). At least one author of each accepted paper, poster, DC, or demo must be registered to attend the conference in person. Any submission without a corresponding registration may be withheld from publication. We will support remote presentations only in an emergency (e.g., visa being denied). Please ensure you register at the correct rate—if you do not, you will be liable to pay the difference on arrival. You can revise your registration online up to one week before the conference.
