About this job:
We are looking to hire an Intern to join our Planning & Performance Management (PPM) team in Dublin on a six-month fixed-term contract, starting as soon as possible. In this role you will split your time between two distinct teams: Underwriting Reporting & Analysis and Underwriting Management Information. As such, your tasks will be quite varied and may include:
- Supporting our Business Unit Analysts in assessing our financial counterparty risk
- Analyzing, testing reports and reworking existing dashboards to improve efficiency
- Collaborating with dedicated team members and working on commutation requests (when contractual obligations are to be discharged)
- Participating in a company-wide Power BI community
- Working with data tools to build data models
- Providing suggestions to automate/improve manual processes and implementing automation solutions where necessary

About you:
- English (business fluency)
- Inquisitive with a learning mindset
- Experience or interest in the insurance sector
- Understanding of financial topics such as Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet analysis
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel / Power Query / Power BI (or similar tools)
- High-level understanding of relational database concepts / data modelling
You are a curious and analytical person who has a desire to learn about the workings of the reinsurance industry whilst applying and developing your skills. You wish to work in a dynamic and culturally diverse environment with colleagues possessing a wide and varied range of backgrounds. You are entitled to work in Dublin.
