Overview
CESRAN International, Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, and OBSERVARE invite panel and paper proposals for the 12th Annual Conference on International Studies on 01-05 July 2025 in Lisbon, Portugal.
This conference will bring together a range of academics and practitioners to discuss new research directions and discoveries in International Studies. CESRAN2025 (formerly known as IEPAS Conferences) will allow networking of new relationships, hearing the latest research, and presenting and publishing before a global audience.
The conference is also open to non-paper presenters, and we would encourage participation from non-academic sectors such as civil society, the private sector, national authorities and the media.

This annual and interdisciplinary conference will again bring together a range of academics and practitioners to discuss new directions of research and discovery in international studies. CESRAN2025 will afford the opportunity to network new relationships, hear the latest research, present and publish before a global audience, and experience Italy.
The conference organizers encourage panels and roundtables to be diverse, including gender, ethnicity, career stage, and geographical location.
The CESRAN Conference Series (formerly known as IEPAS Conference Series)
This conference series was initiated in 2014 by CESRAN International. Since then, the conference series has been organised in different cities:

The conference series has kept bringing together a range of academics and practitioners to discuss new directions of research and discovery in International Studies. The CESRAN conference series aims not only to assemble worldwide researchers and professionals but also to increase knowledge of politics, IR, and economics through academic discussions.
The conference series has an intellectual hub for academic discussions with colleagues in politics, IR, and economics. Participants have found an excellent opportunity for presenting new research, exchanging information, and discussing current issues. We believe that our future conferences will further improve the development of knowledge in these fields.
Submissions
For CESRAN 2025, we will accept three submission types:
- Individual paper submissions
- Panel submissions
- Roundtable submissions
We accept scholarly research papers and policy analyses on any topic related to international studies in its broadest definition.
Panel: It is for a group of experts working in a specific area to share papers or papers in progress. Panel submissions should include at least four papers, a discussant, and a chair, or five papers and a chair.
Roundtable: This format allows a group of experts to discuss a particular issue in depth without the constraints of having to speak to a paper. Roundtable submissions should include a minimum of four participants and a chair and a maximum of six participants and a chair.
