What is USA2Holland?
USA2Holland is a new internship program created by the Netherland-America Foundation (NAF) to enable high-achieving, low-income American college students to pursue an actual working internship within a company in the Netherlands. Candidates will be juniors or seniors at an American college or university who wish to dedicate a semester to explore a career or professional area of interest with a strong international dimension. Candidates must integrate the internship with their personal academic planning contributing to the successful completion of their Bachelor’s degree.
How can USA2Holland help you?
This opportunity provides financial support to American students looking to pursue an internship in the Netherlands. It is the student’s responsibility to secure the internship, though the Netherland-American Foundation may be able to provide networking support to the student depending on the industry.
Background
Since 2017, the Netherland-America Foundation (NAF), in partnership with John Padget, the late Jacob Gelt-Dekker, and the Golden Fleece Foundation, has been supporting high-achieving Dutch students from minority and low-income backgrounds in pursuing quality internships in the U.S. through financial, logistical, and visa support services with the Dutch2USA Internship Program. Based on the success of this program, we are proud to launch the USA2Holland Program to support American students pursuing international internships.
Application Process
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis twice per year.
You will be asked to supply your resume, most recent transcript, proof of income (if applicable), and cover letter to a Dutch company of your choice.
If your initial application is approved and you move past the first phone screen, you will be invited to the final round of interviews with the selection committee.
