Three Crowns invites applications from junior lawyers, including recent law school / LLM graduates, who are interested in undertaking an internship in international arbitration. Three Crowns is a firm committed to excellence in international arbitration and international law. We have been at the forefront of many of the most significant commercial, investment, and inter-State arbitral cases of the past decades. In each matter handled by the firm, our collective experience is brought to bear with substantial, direct, and continuous partner involvement.

Details

Interns will be involved in a variety of work, including providing support with commercial, investment treaty and State-to-State arbitrations, carrying out research, and assisting with written submissions and oral hearings.

Three Crowns offers internships across all three offices and invites applications from junior lawyers, recent law school / LLM graduates, and current law school students who are interested in undertaking an internship in international arbitration.

The programs on offer in each office will vary but the quality of the work experience available to successful applicants will be unparalleled, providing invaluable experience, as well as future employment prospects, to ambitious and talented junior lawyers and graduates. Interns will be involved in a variety of work, including providing support with commercial, investment treaty and State-to-State arbitrations, carrying out research and assisting with written submissions and oral hearings.

London

Internships in the London office will last for between three and six months. Successful applicants will typically be junior qualified lawyers or recent LLM graduates who are looking to develop their skills in the field of international arbitration.   The program is highly competitive and preference will be given to those individuals who have either acquired some level of experience in international arbitration or can clearly demonstrate a passion for, and determination to work in, this field.  Language skills are desirable.

Paris

The Three Crowns Paris office offers internship opportunities to exceptional junior qualified lawyers or recent LLM graduates on fixed term contracts of three to six months.  As with the London program successful candidates are likely to have demonstrated their passion for international arbitration through their work experience and academic achievements. Stagiaires – Additionally, the Paris office welcomes applications from talented law students requiring internships – stages – as part of their university, business school or bar placement.   Our stagiaires will be offered high quality work experience and will be integral to the team.  They will work closely with both associates and partners and be provided with the opportunities and encouragement needed to develop their skills in the area of international arbitration.

Washington, DC

The Three Crowns DC office offers Summer Associate positions to second-year US law school students.   The program typically lasts for four to eight weeks, although, as a small, niche firm we are able to be flexible to accommodate individual requirements.   Our Summer Associates can expect to be treated as regular associates and will be given the opportunity to take on meaningful roles in our active matters.

International Associate Program — The DC office also invites applications from current LLM students or recent graduates of US law schools who have qualified to practice in a jurisdiction outside of the US.  Opportunities are available to exceptionally talented international lawyers to gain high-quality international arbitration work experience for up to 12 months immediately following their LLM studies.  Candidates must be eligible to work in the US immediately following completion of their studies.
