Visitor Visa in Canada
If The Canadian Visitor Visa is an official document that is attached to your passport once you meet the requirements to enter the country. This type of visa allows a tourist to stay in Canada for a maximum of 6 months, or as indicated by the border services officer. The following are basic eligibility requirements before you are able to apply for a tourist visa:
- A travel document or passport valid up to 6 months after the expiration of your tourist visa
- Proof of good health
- A document proving no criminal or immigration-related convictions
- Documents that will prove your ties to your home country that will require your return such as an employment contract in your home country, proof of financial assets, proof of property ownership, proof of bank accounts, and alike.
- A document that will prove your assurance of a return to your home country such as a return ticket.
- Proof of financial capacity to support you on your stay such as your most recent 6 months bank statements.
- A letter of invitation from someone who lives in Canada.
