Internship Visa in Norway

Norway has been attracting interns all over the globe with its continuously growing economy and variety of industries. If you belong to any of the country’s top industries, your internship can be a good stepping stone to a promising career. Should you decide to take your internship in Norway, you may be required to get a Norway Visa. First, check in this link if the nationality of your country will still be required to apply for a visa before your entry. The following may be required from those who will need to apply for a visa.

  • Invitation letter from the Norwegian institution you will be getting your internship from
  • A proof that you are between 18 to 30 years old
  • Proof of admission to a bachelor’s or master’s program
  • Fully accomplished and signed Schengen Visa Application Form
  • (2) Two pieces of identical photographs that are no older than three months and following the visa photograph requirements and specifications
  • Passport that contains at least two blank pages to be able to affix the Visa, with validity of 3 months after the date of exit from Norway or Schengen territory. The passport should be no older than 10 years as well.
  • Bring copies of your previous visa is available
  • You will also need a cover letter where you will explain further details about your internship stay in Norway
  • Copy of ticket reservation
  • Travel Insurance confirmation, with coverage in Norway and the whole territory of Schengen, with minimum coverage of USD 35,000
  • Proof of accommodation
  • Bank statements (at least 6 months)
  • Proof of sufficient financial means that will cover your whole stay in Norway, amounting to 500 NOK or USD 56 per day of stay in the entire duration of your visit

  1. Collate all your documents and check for other relevant documents that will help prove your ability to sustain  your visit in the country.
  2. Look for a local Visa Application service provider who can walk your documents.
