If you are about to get a visa for work it is assumed  that you already have an employer waiting for you in Russia. Most countries except CIS countries would usually be required to have the appropriate visa to be able to work in the country. However, should your nationality  be required to get a visa, you will be applying for a Russian Work Visa. This type of visa will allow you to work full time for a company in Russia. The following requirements will be needed:

• Accomplished Russian Visa Online Application form that you may also print out
• A valid passport valid  6 months after the date of exit from Russia
• A work invitation from your employer in Russia
• An employment contract stating the necessary details of your work in Russia
• Most recent photograph following the photo specifications in this link
• Medical Insurance policy minimum coverage of USD 35,000 stating your coverage in Russia
• A negative HIV Test
• Other additional documentary requirements may still be asked upon submission in the nearest consulate in your area
