Airbnb is seeking a Business Analytics Intern to join the France & Belgium team based in Paris for a 6-month, paid internship - with the potential to be extended to 12 months, depending on performance and business approval.

The community you will join:

  • Full professional proficiency in French (spoken, written, and reading) — this is essential, as the role involves daily interactions, documentation, and meetings conducted in French.
  • Proven hands-on experience in SQL for querying and cleaning data from relational databases.
  • A flexible, proactive, and collaborative mindset with a can-do attitude — you thrive in dynamic environments and are eager to learn and adapt.
  • Recent university graduates (less than 1 year) or currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business, or a related field, ideally with internship experience in business consulting or data analytics.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving mindset, and solid business acumen.
  • Experience in creating dashboards (e.g., Superset, Tableau) and visualising data using tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, or Google Slides to communicate insights effectively.

The Chief Business Officer organisation plays a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth and expansion efforts worldwide. Our teammates work on commercialising Airbnb’s new and existing businesses, helping Airbnb expand beyond its core offering as a place to stay. This includes recruiting and developing Airbnb’s global supply of high-quality stays, Experiences, and services, and executing Airbnb’s global in market strategy. With this focus on business strategy, quality supply and international expansion, the team is leading the way for Airbnb’s continued growth and facilitation of millions more host and guest connections.

The difference you will make:

You’ll support multiple projects for your team with a particular focus on upcoming regulatory changes in key regions and our international market expansion plans in Belgium.  The project work includes:

  • Developing dashboards to monitor business dynamics, supply and demand, to understand the market and track initiatives performances.
  • Updating, analysing and monitoring key performance metrics on a weekly basis.
  • Performing deep dives for selected future potential growth opportunities.
  • Forecasting risk (e.g. regulation) and opportunities (partnership) for the French market
  • Supporting cross-functional teams on key country priorities (rural, events, partnerships, Paris, mountains) by providing specific data-driven insights, for the following use cases: audience definition, press release, Host recruitment targeting, etc.

Your expertise:

  • Education: Recent university graduate (<1 year) or currently completing your Master’s degree holder in Data Science, Statistics, Business, or a related field with 
  • Previous Experience: Internship experience in business consulting or data analytics, bringing strong analytical skills and business acumen.
  • Data Analytics Expertise: Proficient in data analysis with hands-on experience in SQL and Redspot for query automation, capable of extracting actionable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Dashboard & Visualisation Skills: Skilled in creating dashboards (e.g., Superset, Tableau) and visualizing data through tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Presentations to effectively communicate insights.
  • Excel & Spreadsheet Proficiency: Advanced user of Excel and Google Sheets, adept at organizing and analyzing data, leveraging formulas, and creating reports to support business needs.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in both English and French, enabling effective communication and collaboration in a multilingual environment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience or familiarity with travel or marketplace industries is advantageous, enhancing the ability to contextualize data in these sectors.
