Details
The intern will be placed in a young and dynamic group and will be supported during the internship by one or more colleagues so that it can be a good opportunity for professional growth.
The trainee will develop a human-machine interface, HMI, for controlling a prototype machine. The aim of the interface is to overcome current technological limitations and to better manage the technological process of laser cutting.
During the activity, the candidate will have the opportunity to explore aspects of object-oriented programming in the Python language and PLC programming.
In addition to writing software, the activity includes the experimental verification of the developed functionalities in a high-level technological environment.
Objectives of the internship are:
- Developing an HMI platform for a cutting machine;
- Optimise the management of cutting parameters;
- Managing HMI <> PLC communication for the execution of cutting programmes.
Activities and topics covered:
- Programming in Python;
- Experimental verification of the solutions developed;
- (optional) ISO/PLC programming in Beckoff environment.
Note: The trainee will be required to work within the workplace with the utmost respect for the rules established to guarantee Safety and Health, both their own and that of others, and to ensure the optimal functioning of the work environment.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar, in progress;
- Basic knowledge of the C# language;
- Object-oriented programming;
- Ability to analyse and evaluate development tools on the market;
- Problem solving;
- Working in a team;
- Knowledge of the English language (B1).
