Details
We offer:
A traineeship of 6 months in 2026 within the Political, Press and Information (PPI) Section of the EU Delegation to the Republic of Korea. The tentative start date is in April/May and for a second trainee in July 2026.
The PPI Section contributes to the work of the Delegation by
- monitoring, analysing and reporting regularly to Headquarters on internal and regional political developments, foreign policy and other policy areas including climate change and human rights;
- Maintaining contact with all relevant counterparts in order to report on these developments and promote the EU's positions;
- Providing support to visitors from EU institutions as well as providing briefing dossiers, speeches, statements, press releases and articles;
- Coordinating EU Members States' joint positions and actions;
- Organising public diplomacy events, cultural events, creating social media contents, monitoring and managing the feedback on social media to raise the visibility of the EU and its Delegation's work;
- And carrying out press, information and communication activities.
Main tasks:
- Research and analysis of information;
- Attend, organise and participate in meetings, cultural and visibility events, seminars and conferences with a view to drafting reports and promoting visibility;
- Support the Section in the preparation of visits, missions and meetings as well as follow-up action;
- Provide support to the members of the PPI section in their daily activities, under the supervision of the Head of Section;
- Assisting the Press and Information Officer in support of PR and media activities, inter alia on social media (Instagram, Facebook and X ex-Twitter);
- Draft press digests and information bulletins;
- Support the Delegation on other administrative, logistical and operational tasks when required.

We look for:
Qualifications or special requirements:
- Excellent knowledge of English (C1 level - Proficient user) is required
- A proven solid interest in one or more of the following areas is required: Korean politics, foreign and security policy, trade and economics, public relations activities.
- Skills and experience in online content publishing, photography, graphic designs, Photoshop, filming and editing will be an asset.
- A proven interest in Korean culture and society and/or Knowledge of the Korean language would be an asset.
- Candidates must have less than one year of professional experience after graduation by the signing date of the traineeship agreement (other traineeships or student jobs or volunteering works carried out during university or after graduation are not considered as professional experience).

Cost/funding for participants
Each selected trainee will receive a monthly grant to cover living expenses. All costs related to travels, visa, insurance, accommodation must be borne by the trainee.
