The Host Broadcaster is responsible for delivering the pictures and sounds of the Olympic Games to billions of viewers around the world.

Description

The CMO Helpdesk Officer is responsible for providing overall administrative support to the construction team during the IBC Maintenance phase. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are required for this position. A background on construction/engineering related jobs or administrative support positions, will be highly valued.

Duties

  • Receive and register the calls, emails and other notifications regarding IBC maintenance issues.
  • Manage the issues register, tracking each item until final resolution.
  • Coordinate internally with the CMO engineers of each trade for the follow-up of their issues.
  • Deal with issues with the utmost professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Assist in the communication with Paris 2024.
  • Answer general phone calls and organize mail/email by responding to information as directed.
  • Collaborate with existing administrative processes to support the efficiency of the department.
  • Help with French to English translation, when necessary
  • Other administrative support duties and tasks such as shifts and calendars coordination, procurement support, document control.
  • Positions reports to the dept. Director and construction managers.
  • Promote and contribute to a positive team atmosphere.

Description of Ideal Candidate

Experience

  • Degree or diploma from a recognized institution in a related field.
  • Minimum 1 - 2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant.
  • Strong knowledge of Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
  • Previous experience in Costumer Service or similar positions will be valued.
  • Strong knowledge of remote work platforms and video conferencing platforms.
  • Strong handling of basic web applications, and digital / mobile working tools in general
  • Excellent verbal and written English language. Native or fluent French is also required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaboratively with other departments.
  • Ability to work independently without guidance and supervision.
  • Proactiveness and willingness to take part in other more complex tasks.

  • Fast paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Operations are based in the International Broadcast Centre (IBC).
  • Full time shift work including evening and weekends during the Games Time (operational) Phase.
  • Subject to national/international criminal background checks.
  • The position will cover the maintenance and operational phases, concluding after the completion of the Olympic Games.
