Overview

This intern position performs moderate research, design, and software development assignments on LexisNexis’ North America flagship products – Lexis Advance and Lexis+. The candidate will be working as a software developer on an Agile team, delivering new and exciting features as well as maintaining existing features using the latest technology stack, releasing frequently with the latest CI/CD strategy. Excellent growth opportunity.

What you'll do:

  • Web development -  JavaScript (not limited to js framework like Angular, react etc.), HTML/CSS code in some cases.
  • Hands on coding and developing new features using coding best practices and involved in code reviews process.
  • Willing to learn and work on multiple programming languages and paradigms.
  • Use simple SQL query or data validation.
  • Hands on experience with test driven development.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Complete simple bug fixes.
  • Under the guidance of senior-level engineers, successfully implement development processes, coding best practices and code reviews.
  • Operating in Agile development environments while collaborating with key stakeholders.
  • Resolve basic technical issues as necessary.
  • Keep abreast of new technology developments.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related area.
  • Self-motivated and results oriented.
  • The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and build their skills in a real-world environment
  • You may not have much experience outside the classroom, but you are eager to apply the knowledge and skill you have developed in your studies to real-world development situations where you can truly see your impact
  • Exposure/experience with Angular, .Net, C#, JavaScript/Typescript, Handlebars, Web Api, ASP.NET, CSS, HTML.
